Acrylic Painting Workshop Pam Danzer, Instructor Thursday, June 11, 2009 10:00AM-1:00PM Sponsored by SeaWorthy Gallery, Hatteras Village Pre-registration recommended Join Pam Danzer to learn the techniques of using recycle wood and paper to create a textured surface. This unique surface will be the background for a beach scape created by layering complimenting acrylic colors. Pam lives in Louisburg, NC where she is an art instructor at Vance Granville Community College. She sells many of her own art works at art shows and art galleries in North and South Carolina, Georgia, and Virginia. A few of her pieces are on display at SeaWorthy Gallery.She encourages her students to enjoy painting for fun and as a relaxing hobby. Beginners are encouraged to take this class. Acrylic on Canvas Workshop Anne Chaddock, Instructor Friday, July 10, 2009 10:00 AM-1:00 PM Sponsored by SeaWorthy Gallery, Hatteras Village Pre-registration recommended Anne will take students through the acrylic painting process from design, composition, technique and color mixing. Her objective is to encourage each student to develop their own personal and expressive way to paint. All supplies are furnished. Class fee is $100.00. Beginners are welcomed. Anne has been teaching on-going classes of 140 + students per week as well as mixed media workshops on all levels. Her workshops have been conducted in the United States, France, Ireland and Greece. Anne paints full time in primarily oil, acrylic, watercolor and pastels. She competes in approximately 10 artist exhibitions per year. She has won 1st and 2nd place in Best of Artist and Artisans of Virginia and 1st place in Best of American Watercolor Artist. Anne has dedicated her life to art and its creation. Because of her extraordinary flair, her work is on demand in the United States as well as internationally. An artist reception featuring Anne’s work will be held Thursday, July 16th beginning at 5:00PM. Come and enjoy a glass of wine and the sunset from the gallery’s front porch. Kid’s Art Workshop. Your child will learn: 1. Drawing and Painting Techniques 2. The Elements and Principles of Design 3. Color Theory 4. Art Vocabulary 5. Art History Your child will then apply these skills to create their very own take home painting after each class. All lesson plans are in accordance with the National Visual Art standards. Elizabeth Eubanks graduated from the Art Institute of Pittsburgh with a specialized degree in Visual Communication and Fine Art. She is a professional painter, and instructor of both children and adults. Elizabeth passionately continues to further her art education through teaching, attending art classes, paint workshops and a continual study of the elements and principles of design. She participates in numerous art shows and workshops both nationally and internationally. Her work may be seen at SeaWorthy Gallery and throughout the country.
